i looked and ATI has a separate dl package for the opencl to go along with everything else so this will be what we use as the min. requirements for the ati app driver.

finally got the opencl app to run on my ati 2600 XT, it turned out that 2 extra .dll's needed to be distributed.

First official drivers for AMD OpenCL are Catalyst 10.10 APP and also you need ATI Radeon HD 4000 Series or never.

yes, we found out this morning that we were missing 2 dll's from the package that we need to send out... so once jack fixes that, it should run...

I don't think so, as you can see here http://developer.amd.com/gpu/atistreamsdk/pages/default.aspx only Radeons 4000 and never are supported. In your case probably OpenCL can't find GPU device, and use your CPU.

Here is small application from ATI Stream SDK that displays all your OpenCL capable devices.

this has happened before way early in development but not this time... thats because the drivers from ati were not out for it yet.

if i am wrong i will admit it, don't worry...

Just Looked!

and was looking in the event that i do get hired tomorrow after the interview and i get some money built up over the next few weeks. I started looking at my P4-HT computer with the 2600 XT computer getting a new power supply and a new card.... Only problem is the heat Sink provided by DeLL!(POS) is setting right on top of the card, which mean if the card occupies 2 slots it won't fit in the case....

So the Plan just ate a hair ball. ! Crap.

anyway, today i decided to put that computer on CPDN duty along with collatz.
