Hi,

I just had on 2 pcs (linux32) probs with mdrun v1.11

1. on this pc: all 10 WUs were canceled immediately
it is told "Aborted by user", but I didn't, so probably "something" from the boinc client?
Don't know how much HD space they need, but perhaps HD space? Ihad around 300 MB free, increased to: 550 MB, but didn't help

2.
on another pc: linux32, also all WUs had a problem "Error while computing", process got signal 11
-> from here (Message 1769 + 1773) I see it is a known problem, which should not have happened since linux should have been disabled. I guess just a temporary problem?

Hard to find a way to isolate the hosts for assignment tasks. Only way I can see is use a seperate platform or time it right so the standard work is sent before enabling linux, then send work. Anyway I noticed some of those errors and don't have a solution at the moment. I have not problems running this on my VM of Fedora 10. Trying to check the thread...browser is acting weird.

Thx for the answer. Just put it on your list, I guess you have a few things to take care of.

See you

BOINC 6.10 will abort any work that isn't started yet and that is past its deadline. All automatically.

"Error while computing", process got signal 11

FAQ on this:

This error can be caused by the infamous segmentation error (SIGSEGV error), meaning that something broke, be it your memory, virtual memory (page file) or it's a bad batch of tasks.

Check your system with memtest86+, make your page file anew, keep a tab on whether you're the only one returning these errors, or that others have them at the same time as well. If you are the only one, it's something on your system, if there are lots more, it's a bad batch of work.

But it can also happen when you use a 64bit operating system, while the project you're getting the crashes on only gives out 32bit applications (such as Einstein does). Installing the ia32 library package will fix this problem. See also process exited with code 22 which is a similar error, on the application level.
